Architecture details are like sculpture; when I shoot the “overall” shot, you get a sense of the scope of a project, but the detail shots show the craftsmanship. They lend themselves to more creative camera angles and more dramatic lighting to make a very graphic image. Detail shots not only get used to show off the craftsmanship, but also as backgrounds and design elements on webpages and in print.

The shot I made inside this Spa Sydell was to show the calming environment. Subdued lighting and the translucent waterfall separated the outside world from the client waiting area.
