Taken just north of San Francisco in one of the giant redwood forests.
Folley Beach, NC.
In the Spring following this shoot, a major storm came through and decimated the southern end of the island, where this tree stood.
Two coasts.

These petroglyphs were high up on a cliff in Valley of Fire, Nevada. I was there shooting another project, but took some time to wonder the valley... and do a little climbing.
I had a few days to spend in Fort Walton, FL and was looking forward to a brisk swim. When I got to the beach, no one was swimming -- which I found very odd until I looked into the water and realized it was swarming with Jellyfish. I don't mean one or two... it was comical just how many there were. It changed my plans a little. Since I had a wetsuit, snorkel gear, and an underwater housing for my camera with me, I chose to swim in the jellyfish fields.
The morning mist over a lake near Chattanooga, TN.
A flash storm had just broken as I crossed this river in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO. Something about this moment made me want to frolic in the field.
Taken on a paddling trip down the Sante Fe River, in north central Florida.
